Forty sticks, each 8.15 inches, burning 45–60 minutes. Light one when the evening has narrowed to a chair: after dinner, before bed, on a Sunday when the house is already quiet. Set it in a holder on a stable surface, away from curtains and drafts, and keep it in sight.
